hello there.

I work in the vector space spanned by digital systems, machine learning, computer vision, and embedded engineering. I've fabricated micron-scale MEMS devices, written software for satellites, built avionics for rockets, researched graph neural networks for crystal characterization in complex metal alloys, and developed cloud infrastructure to stream data from sensors deep in the mangrove forests of Mexico. In high school I was briefly world #2 in soccer robotics and helped build the world's fastest unmanned electric boat. I enjoy science journalism and amateur photography. In my free time I write poetry, short stories, and Verilog code.

I study at the {{ mitText }} (MIT), majoring in computer science and electrical engineering.

contact.

I love building interesting things with cool people. The fastest way to get in touch with me is probably via Discord @conv2d (yes, I'm chronically online). If you'd like to be more formal, my email is jieruei [at] mit [dot] edu.

Resume/portfolio available on request.
